Recieved a call from bro zen69 the night prior to the trip, he told me to land the biggies for him since he cannot make the trip due to a minor operation. I told him, No promises but I will try my best!
Set out the TP on the 12/04 with the rest of kakis.
Me and wife, Vincent8235, Allelf n brother, blurfish & wife, wmchua, "Ferrari" and king.
It started to rain as we reached the kelong, so after lunch, we hanged around playing mahjong and waiting for the rain to eased off.
We departed immediately once the rain stopped!
On the way to our first spot, I missed a hookup on troll but thats another story.
Nothing much at our first spot, current was strong, Vincent8235 landed a nice "leng jiam" and that was about all.
No further actions as the current continued to keep up. It was only after dinner when the "fishing" started.
After dinner, there was a a little frenzy as a small school of bulats came along. Once there was a hookup, there were at many a time also plenty of "beehoons".
No wonder people always "eat fish head beehoon"!
These bulats are real strong fighters and will give your setups a good workout.
All of us got at least 1 or 2 of this hard running fish! It was really fun and exciting and to the extend that I did not take any much pictures during this period. There were also some sagais caught amidst the frenzy.
Nothing much after midnite and only a couple of table fares were caught towards day break and we headed back earlier and washup before heading home.
Had a really fun and enjoyable weekend.
